40 Years & You

Peter Burnett in his office.

As I marked my 40th anniversary of being a lawyer at the end of September, I found myself looking back over four decades of practice with a great sense of pride. The firm that has become Burnett & Williams started as a solo general practice in a small office on King Street, and over the years developed into one that is now recognized as one of Virginia’s oldest and most experienced personal injury law firms. I am proud of the record of verdicts and settlements we have achieved over those years, and I am happy that I still enjoy helping clients today as much as ever.

Most of all, I am eternally grateful to you and to all of the other clients who placed their trust in our firm when their lives were unexpectedly turned upside-down by someone’s carelessness. On this milestone anniversary, I cannot think of a more appropriate thing to do than thank you for letting me and my capable colleagues work on your case.  Please accept my heartfelt appreciation for allowing us to represent you.

And don’t worry that 40 years will be enough to satisfy my will to serve; I love my work and intend to keep helping folks for years to come. Although I hope you will never have the need, if I can ever help you with a personal injury matter, or with finding a competent lawyer in another area of the law, please do not hesitate to contact me. You can always stay connected with us through our website’s blog, or by reading the articles and insights we share via Facebook and Twitter.

Over the years, Burnett & Williams’ big red ampersand has become a symbol of our firm.  It is a symbol that has become especially meaningful to me because it represents all the important connections between us & our clients, and between our firm & the communities we serve.  Let us know if you’d like an ampersand cellphone pocket, and join us in celebrating my first 40 years of service.
