Why Small Business Saturday Is A BIG Deal

Why Small Business Saturday Is A BIG Deal

You can have a big impact on a small business.

So What is Small Business Saturday?

Small Business Saturday was created in 2010 as a way to help increase sales and traffic to small businesses during the holidays. The day always falls on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, piggybacking off of Black Friday, which focuses on big retailers offering deep discounts. It’s a chance for all of us to support our local economy, and to show some love for stores that our friends and neighbors own and work in!

How Can You Help Small Businesses?

You can go on a local shopping spree and support small shops and business owners where you live. That money you spend not only benefits the local store owner, but also the people in the community who are employed by the business.

Spread the word!

Share your shopping experiences with friends and family. The more customers that know of the great small stores you love, the more successful they will likely be.

Don’t stop at Saturday!

Make it a habit to frequent these small stores throughout the year instead of first visiting the big box stores. Often times these small shops have unique items you won’t find anywhere else. And it’s a great way to be a part of your local community!
