The holidays are about sharing: sharing gifts, sharing time, sharing meals, and sharing good will.  As we look to the next year, Burnett & Williams would like to send wishes of Peace & Joy, Love & Happiness to our family of communities.

In a world that can sometimes feels overwhelmingly divided, our firm always looks for the things that can strengthen our communities and pull us together — the ampersands (“&”) that connect us.  For our attorneys & staff, the law is a cornerstone of community strength, establishing rules of order for the whole, and protecting the rights of individuals. For us, the practice of personal injury law is at its core about fairness & justice, about making sure that each individual has their interests fully represented against the interests of large insurance companies.

Every day we advocate on behalf of people who need the protection & justice that our legal system provides. We also work hard to find ways to strengthen the communities we work in by volunteering our time & talents, by supporting good causes, and by promoting the efforts of others to do good works.  In our blog and on our Facebook page we have been recognizing those who’s efforts and ideas make a positive difference, with our Ampersand awards. Over the holidays we’ll be recognizing some of the standouts from 2016, and in 2017, we’ll be recognizing at least one group or individual each month for their efforts to help others and bring all of us together for a stronger tomorrow.

Thank you to the community of clients & supporters that have made our business so successful in our 30th year. This has been another year of awards, such as a Lifetime Achievement award from America’s 100 Best Lawyers, recognition by the Top 100 Trial Lawyers, and another top ranking by US News’ Best Law Firms.  We also had adventures, such as opening new offices in Midlothian, Hopewell, and Richmond. But mostly we will remember 2016 for all of the cases we won on behalf of our clients, helping individuals and families put their lives back on track.

We are looking forward to all the opportunities 2017 will offer. We promise to continue to share out talents & diligence with our clients & the Virginia communities we serve.
