For over 20 years, Jim Williams has been litigating insurance cases in the Richmond-Petersburg region, first as a defense counsel representing large insurance companies, and then as a plaintiff’s attorney helping people receive fair compensation for their injuries.

Kristina Walters is an experienced paralegal with a BA in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Merry Sixt is a paralegal with 15 years experience and Carl Loser is a legal secretary who has been working for 2 years in the field. Both graduated from J. Sargent Reynolds Community College with Associate of Applied Science degrees in Paralegal Studies. Ryan Weiss, a Philosophy and Political Science major at Virginia Tech, served as a legal assistant this summer and contributes regularly to the Burnett & Williams blog.

The Midlothian office handles cases in nearly all areas of personal injury law, from auto accidents and premises injuries to medical malpractice and wrongful death claims. In every case, Jim Williams and the Midlothian staff help clients navigate the complex legal and personal challenges that always accompany serious injury.

In addition to his work as an attorney, Jim Williams is a father of five children, all of whom have attended school in the Richmond area, four at Midlothian High School. He has been active in community sports for many years, coaching his childrens’ teams and serving as the president of the Evergreen Athletic Association. He has also been an active supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness efforts since losing his wife to the disease. In her honor, the Beth Williams Field of Dreams Foundation has worked with the Village of Midlothian Volunteer Coalition to renovate children’s sports fields in the heart of the city.
