We were fortunate enough to  sit down recently with John Flannery, a former federal prosecutor from New York and Congressional special counsel. John is a defense attorney and civil litigant here in Loudoun County, and he’s a frequent guest on MSNBC’s The Beat with Ari Melber. John joins us to talk about the process of impeachment, and to share his thoughts on the current political landscape.

There has been a lot of discussion of and interest in impeachment over the past year or so, and we thank John for giving us an interesting inside perspective on this topic, from the origins of impeachment through today’s current political environment.

In this episode we discuss:

  • The origins of impeachment
  • Nixon and the precedents of impeachment
  • Bipartisanship today vs. bipartisanship in the past
  • The role of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court
  • John Flannery’s predictions

We hope you enjoy listening!
