Burnett & Williams Adds a Touch of Pink in Midlothian

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Burnett & Williams partner Jim Williams was the catalyst in providing special jerseys and socks for Chesterfield County’s Midlothian High School football team.  The students wore the pink accents throughout October in games against Huguenot, Manchester, James River, and Monacan.

Breast cancer awareness is an issue that has been particularly important to the firm since Jim lost his wife Beth in 2006 after a long battle against the disease. Beth was a pioneer in drawing attention to women’s struggles with breast cancer, and her memory is kept alive through the work of the Beth Williams Field of Dreams Foundation, which helps unite communities to make the lives of children as active as possible through local team sports and other activities.

Burnett & Williams salutes all of the doctors, nurses, researchers, and activists who devote themselves to curing cancer.  And, like the Midlothian Trojans football team, we stand with all of the patients and families who are struggling to survive cancer in their daily lives.
