Burnett & Williams’ attorney Jim Williams was pleased to see Hopewell’s Varsity football team decked out in pink this month to help raise awareness during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  The pink-accented jerseys, pink socks, and accessories were supplied by the Beth Williams Field of Dreams Foundation, which has a dual mission of supporting local youth sports and raising awareness about breast cancer.

Jim lost his wife Beth to breast cancer in 2006 after a 10 year battle with the disease.  During her struggle she was one of the earliest advocates of raising awareness about the disease, doing high profile interviews on ABC’s “20/20” program and CBS’ “48 Hours.” Beth served on the board of the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation and worked in many ways to help others dealing with the disease. Over the years, Burnett & Williams has worked to continue Beth’s good works by expanding the reach of the foundation in the Richmond – Tri-cities area.

If you’d like to catch the Hopewell Blue Devils in action this month, they’ll be playing at Thomas Dale High School in Chester on Friday night at 7:00pm.  Next week, 10/27, they are at home against Dinwiddie at 7pm.  Good luck, guys!
